Lumen Robotics (Team 36509) is student-run FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC) team based in Ottawa, Ontario. Our members are passionate high school students from Merivale High School, who are united by a shared interest in engineering, programming, and innovation.
Founded in 2026, our team entering its inaugural FTC season. Although we are a rookie team, many of our members have previously competed on other FTC teams, bringing valuable experience in robot design, programming, and competition. Together, we design, build, and program competitive robots while inspiring STEM within our community.
The world is becoming increasingly technology-driven, yet many students lack opportunities to explore STEM in a hands-on way. Our mission is to make engineering, robotics, and programming more accessible in our community by offering students engaging, hands-on learning experiences that inspire creativity, build problem-solving skills, and develop a lifelong passion for STEM.
